i’m nick deMarchis, an engineer who works with prose and code.

i currently work at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority on their Data & Analytics team, building data visualizations to help deliver services for millions every day. i cut my teeth at SeatGeek, engineering frontend features for a box office and resale live events platform.

i graduated from Bucknell University with a B.S. in computer engineering and a minor in film and media studies.

in my spare time, i tell stories about weird and delightful corners of physical and digital environments. that's taken me to every library in Brooklyn, down deep internet rabbit holes and on long rides my 2014 Corolla was not designed to handle.
